HEMA-Shooting in einer Sargfabrik

Historisches Fechten modern in Szene setzen – das war das Ziel bei diesem Shooting in einer alten Sargfabrik in Wien

Das F23, die ehemalige Sargfabrik in Wien Liesing, wirkt weder bedrohlich noch gruselig, dafür bietet sie eine Menge Platz, in der sich die FechterInnen und ich austoben konnten. Lange schon wollte ich ein spezielles HEMA-Shooting in einem Lost-place-Setting durchziehen, durch die Unterstützung von 8Openings war mir das im Dezember endlich möglich.

Gearbeitet habe ich mit der Sony A7III und einem dreifach Blitzsetup. Um die Stimmung in den Bildern noch mehr in die Richtung zu lenken, die ich wollte, habe ich zwischen Schwertkämpfer und Blitze verschiedene Farbfolien gespannt, begleitet von einer (andauernd überforderten) Nebelmaschine.

Fokus war dabei natürlich auch die Tactical Shirts und Rashguards von 8Openings ordentlich zu inszenieren, das Branding der Firma und mein visuelles Konzept waren dabei aber von Anfang an überaus stimmig.

Einiges haben wir auch in einer Filmwohnung geschossen, die in die Sargfabrik anno dazumal für einen Hader-Film eingebaut wurde, mein Model und Schauspieler Thomas L. Hofer hat sich darin gleich dementsprechend wohl gefühlt.

In einem alten Fabriksgebäude Historisches Fechten und Fotografieren zu verbinden war für mich ein krönender Jahresabschluss 2019 wie man sich vorstellen kann.
